REBUILD 2023

Housing actions and solutions to simultaneously confront the climate crisis while building housing for a more resilient and equitable future.

ReBuild 2023 focuses on powerful conversations from exceptional speakers on innovative housing, new building technologies, and housing solutions that are making housing more carbon neutral, resilient, and affordable.

Solving both the unprecedented housing and energy challenges of today requires revolutionary new ways of thinking and construction. Join our exceptional speakers at ReBuild 2023 as they highlight new building technologies and housing solutions designed to increase housing supply while reducing greenhouse gas emissions, benefit priority populations, and provide a suite of environmental, economic, and public health benefits.

Following on the success last year of the inaugural ReBuild 2022, and in light of the Inflation Reduction Act which earmarked around $369 billion of government incentives for energy and climate-related programs over 10 years, This year, Rebuild 2023 will raise the visibility of the funding flowing to Justice40 covered programs to accelerate the rollout of clean energy solutions that reduces greenhouse gas emissions, grows green jobs to advance equity, justice and opportunity—all while creating resilient and sustainable building technologies for equitable and affordable housing.

Join us for expert-led discussions, as we delve into adoption of greener energy housing production and lean manufacturing techniques, while saving time and costs in construction of modular and prefabrication houses, and offsite construction.

“The time is now to bring to the fore diverse housing perspectives and policies, vital to embrace flexible design such as prefabrication development to bring down housing costs and enhance economic mobility.” — Matt Horton, Senior Advisor at Milken Institute and Director of Policy and Strategic Initiatives at Accelerator for America.

A RECAP OF REBUILD 2022

That’s a wrap…for now!

In November 2022, ReBuild brought policymakers, technologists, developers, manufacturers, and investors together at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, to facilitate a discussion on modular construction solutions to solve affordable housing, homelessness, and sustainability issues in California and beyond.

With sessions focused on new real estate developments, public-private partnerships, sustainability, research, investments, and upcoming trends, ReBuild gathered world-class thought leaders in a way that’s never been done before in the industry.

To those of you that missed us this year…we’re happy to announce that we’re planning ReBuild 2023! For information on how you or your organization can participate, exhibit, speak, or attend next year, fill out the form here so you can be among the first to receive updates!

Just because the event is over, doesn’t mean the problems are solved. If you wish to learn more about the initiatives discussed at the event, please feel free to reach out to ReMo Homes here for more information.

Thank you for joining our efforts to ReBuild…see you in 2023!

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s opening remarks for ReBuild 2022 thank ReMo Homes and CRATE Modular for organizing an event that paved the way for affordable and innovative solutions to California’s housing crisis.

The ReBuild 2022 highlight reel showcases the conclave from start to finish. The event opened with remarks from Mayor Garcetti, was jam-packed with sessions from the California Growth Council, Milken Institute, and the CA Secretary of Housing’s office, and finished up with an exclusive stadium tour.

ReBuild is an exclusive invite-only PropTech & ConTech event for housing leaders and executives in USA and beyond. The intimate event will bring together policymakers, technologists, developers, manufacturers, and investors.

We believe that we are at an inflection point when it comes to affordable and sustainable housing due to favorable regulation and technology breakthroughs in modular construction. ReBuild Conference will review this favorable regulation passed in California and discuss the opportunities available to developers and investors.

ReBuild will also showcase the fast-growing smart modular construction industry that is marrying cutting-edge technology in aerospace with automotive style assembly lines. This will allow for the production of human-centric smart homes that favor the comfort and safety of the people living in them.

The sessions are focused on new real estate developments, public-private partnerships, sustainability, research, investments, and upcoming trends delivered by world-class thought leaders.

Why ReBuild?

Even though the term wasn’t coined until the 1930s, the idea of the American Dream has been around since Colonial America. The idea that success, no matter how you define it, is attainable to anyone regardless of where they were born, or their class, has motivated Americans to work hard for nearly the last century.

Despite this national ethos staying the same, the ease with which this American Dream is achieved has changed dramatically. In the mid to late 1900s, a family of four could live comfortably on one parent’s salary while the other stayed home to take care of the kids.

Nowadays, one parent’s salary wouldn’t be enough to support a family in any major suburban areas across the country. In fact, a single income stream isn’t enough to support a single person in some of the country’s major metropolitan areas. Homelessness is at an all-time high, and people have resorted to living in their cars or going without necessities to afford to live in a world facing frequent climate disasters. Americans shouldn’t have to choose between paying rent or being able to afford food.

In our community, we have Lauren, the schoolteacher, Jose, the Uber Driver, and Nicole, the single mom juggling two jobs. These are the people that keep our economy going and continue to work through the COVID-19 pandemic, yet they’re the ones that have been left behind in the housing market.

This is what we want to solve at ReBuild.

We want to change the construction industry to one of affordability, sustainability, and human-centered design. We don’t want the ability to own a safe, comfortable living space to only be available to society’s highest earners. Instead, we want the Laurens, Joses, and Nicoles to be able to have a place of their own to rest and raise a family sustainably in a home designed for their well-being.

This housing crisis has gone on for too long. Let’s rebuild together.
